The East Asian Economic Association was established in 1987 as the first international academic organization focusing on the study of East Asian economies. Members are entitled to receive the Association’s journal, the Asian Economic Journal. It is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December, and subscription (= membership of the Association) is on a calendar year basis. Individuals are cordially invited to join the East Asian Economic Association and subscribe to the Asian Economic Journal by filling in and submitting an application form below.
There are three types of EAEA membership:
Regular, residents of Asian developing economies* (USD 50)
Regular, residents of other economies (USD 90 / JPY 10,000)
Graduate students (USD 50 / JPY 5,500)
* Asian developing economies include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, East Timor, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
